West Side Modified Learn-to-Row
The West Side Modified Program is for middle-school athletes (ages 12-15, or entering 6th grade) with little or no experience in Rowing, and is designed to prepare them for participation in the competitive High School program when they enter 9th grade.
September 9th and 10th, 16th and Oct 1. 11am-1pm
West Side Junior Novice Rowing
The West Side Novice Program is for high school athletes looking to train and compete at the local, state, and national level. This program is designed to introduce athletes to high-level training and racing, and prepare them for the West Side Varsity Program after completing one year. The Fall Novice season will end with athletes competing at the West Side Hogan-Fries Regatta!
West Side Junior Varsity Rowing
The West Side Varsity Team is for experienced athletes with at least one year of competitive rowing experience. This is a high-performance program that will challenge each athlete to be the very best that they can be. Athletes will train and compete to race in several local, regional, and national races throughout the fall season.
Scholastic Rowing at West Side
The West Side Rowing Club hosts the following scholastic programs during the Fall season:
- City Honors School
- Mount St. Mary's Academy
- Nardin Academy
- St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute
Adult Modified Learn-to-Row
Adult Learn-to-Row participants will learn proper erg technique, safety procedures, and have use of the indoor rowing tanks. The program is open to anyone over 18 years of age with little to no rowing experience. Sessions will be held concurrently with the Youth Modified Rowing Program.
Adult Club Team (formerly Adult Recreational Rowing)
The Adult Rec program is designed for adults who are looking for the opportunity to row in a non-competitive program throughout the year. At least one session of Adult Learn To Row or previous experience is required for participation.
Adult Competitive Team (formerly Masters Rowing)
The Masters program is a competitive program for both men and women who are interested in training and participating in a few competitive events in the summer and fall. Previous rowing experience is required for this program.
Weekly rowing for alumni will take place on Wednesday nights, from 6-7:30 pm. $25 for the first three rows and $10 after that. Refreshments after every row!
